The Gaser Model L-80 Fresh Sausage Portioning and Cutting Machine works best with natural and collagen casings. You can use artificial casings with the Gaser Model L-80 Fresh Sausage Portioning and Cutting Machine but it does not work as well as the other casings mentioned.

The Gaser Model L-80 Fresh Sausage Portioning and Cutting Machine is very effective for fresh sausage portioning and cutting. Simply attach one end of the sausage casing between the pinch holder, line up the sausage strands as the picture shows and start turning the handle. As the wheel turns, it pinches the casing together at the set length of the system you purchase, then it cuts the casing between the pinched link and drops it below onto a tray or tote.
